ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge

Purpose

Increase student, employee, and community awareness of, and participation within, different parts of our political system.

Goals

  1. Increase the number of students who are registered to vote and cast their ballot during the next election cycle.
  2. Offer voter education workshops, so students and employees make informed decisions when they participate in the election process.
  3. Host guest speakers such as officials, advocates, lawyers, journalists, and researchers, so students and employees may learn how their work impacts Nevada residents.
  4. Arrange local field trips to public institutions for students to learn about their operation.
  5. Offer workshops to students and employees that address issues such as information literacy, public discourse, interpersonal cooperation, and/or civic involvement to improve human relations and/or existing social conditions.
  6. Incorporate deliberative dialogue into the on-campus PSC 101: Introduction to American Politics curriculum.
