2024-2025 FAFSA is Now Open!

Students interested in attending the 2024-2025 Academic Year (Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025) are encouraged to complete the FAFSA after January 1, 2024. The 2024-2025 FAFSA has seen significant revision aimed to make the process to apply for federal student aid easier for families. The new process is a result of the FUTURE Act (Fostering Undergradute Talent by Unlocking Resouces for Educaiton) and the FAFSA Similification Act. Don't forget to add WNCs School Code 013896 to your 2024-2025 FAFSA!

Steps To Apply

  1. Apply for Admission to Western Nevada College
  2. Complete and Submit FAFSA
  3. Complete and Submit the WNC Scholarships Application
  4. Submit Any Additional Required Documentation
    If your FAFSA is federally selected for verification, you will be required to submit additional documentation to the Financial Aid Office that may include a verification for, tax transcripts and/or Tax Returns. We will request this documentation when we receive your FAFSA.
  5. Review Financial Aid Offer
    Once you have been offered funds, a Financial Aid Offer notification will be emailed to you. You can also check the status of your financial aid offer by logging into myWNC. Note: WNC does not automatically offer student loans. Learn more about requesting student loans by visiting the Student Loan Information page.
