Bridge to Success

B2S is a program intended to help high school seniors make a successful transition to WNC.  We understand that attending college is a new and unknown experience, so college advisors visit area schools to guide students through the steps to attend WNC.

During high school visits, our advisors will help you:

  1. Apply to Western Nevada College
  2. Attend a Wildcat Welcome Orientation
  3. Attend a Financial Aid/Scholarship Workshop
  4. Submit Eligible ACT/SAT or AP scores & review placement options
  5. Meet with a WNC Advisor and Register for Classes

Bridge to Success Program Goals:

  • Increase educational expectations for participating students
  • Increase student and parent knowledge of postsecondary education options including: application process, financial aid opportunities, placement options, scheduling, and class selection
  • Increase participation rate of high school students in postsecondary education
  • Increase awareness of WNC degrees and programs
  • Increase rate of retention and college success
