Bridge to Success
B2S is a program intended to help high school seniors make a successful transition to WNC. We understand that attending college is a new and unknown experience, so college advisors visit area schools to guide students through the steps to attend WNC.
During high school visits, our advisors will help you:
- Apply to Western Nevada College
- Attend a Wildcat Welcome Orientation
- Attend a Financial Aid/Scholarship Workshop
- Submit Eligible ACT/SAT or AP scores & review placement options
- Meet with a WNC Advisor and Register for Classes
Bridge to Success Program Goals:
- Increase educational expectations for participating students
- Increase student and parent knowledge of postsecondary education options including: application process, financial aid opportunities, placement options, scheduling, and class selection
- Increase participation rate of high school students in postsecondary education
- Increase awareness of WNC degrees and programs
- Increase rate of retention and college success
