Credit for Prior Learning
WNC recognizes that students accumulate a great deal of information and knowledge outside of the college environment from various training, non-traditional educational sources, and work experience. Therefore, WNC will consider awarding credit for prior experiential learning to students who have been accepted to the college and are declared as degree/certificate seeking.
Explore Credit for Prior Learning:
Credit by Examination
Demonstrate knowledge through nationally recognized exams, including AP, CLEP and
IB, and institutional Challenge Examinations.
Transfer eligible credit earned through military service to be applied toward your degree program.
Transfer eligible credit from accredited colleges/universities toward your WNC degree or certificate.
WORKFORCE CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING
Do you already have extensive experience or knowledge in an area?
Have your Industry Certifications and Workforce Training evaluated for credit
High school students who receive the Nevada Department of Education Certificate of Skill Attainment may qualify for college credit.
