A Star Party scheduled for Jack C. Davis Observatory at Western Nevada College on Saturday night, Feb. 21, has been canceled because of the recent winter storm.

The public is invited to attend the next cosmic gathering — a Lunar Eclipse Party — set for Monday and Tuesday, March 2 and 3, from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. This event and the bi-monthly Star Parties are free to the community and a great opportunity to learn more about the universe.

For astronomy lovers who are planning ahead, upcoming Star Parties are scheduled for March 14 and 21, from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m.
