Apply for Admission
Applying for admission is the first step to attending WNC. WNC's open admission process
allows anyone to be accepted to the college.
FOR DEGREE SEEKING STUDENTS: Under Education Goal/Objective, select "I will be attending WNC to enroll in credit
classes and plan on seeking a degree or 30 credit certificate of achievement."
FOR NON DEGREE SEEKING STUDENTS: Under Education Goal/Objective, select "I will be attending WNC to enroll in credit
classes for a career upgrade, industry skills certification, personal interest or
other reason and do not plan on seeking a degree or 30 credit certificate."
Apply for Scholarships
The Western Nevada College Foundation and Financial Assistance Office are pleased
to announce the opening of the Regular Scholarship Application Cycle. Current and
Prospective students are encouraged to apply during this cycle to receive priority
consideration for scholarships.
Placement Options (Degree/Certificate Seeking Only)
Testing assesses your current skills in reading, writing and math. There are several
ways to complete or meet placement criteria.
Attend an Orientation
This is a great opportunity for you to learn about resources and tools to help you
be successful while in college. First-time degree/certificate students will be contacted
to schedule an orientation session
Meet with an Academic Advisor
Our advisors and instructors are great resources to help you make important decisions
about your educational goals. We aim to help you stay on track toward graduation.
Apply for Financial Aid (Degree/Certificate Seeking Only)
There are more financial aid and scholarship opportunities available than ever before
to make college possible for you. Completing the FAFSA is the first step in learning
what money may be available to you.
Register for Classes
Choosing your classes early ensures that you get the times and classes you want. Enrollment
is done through myWNC.
Pay Fees
Pay attention to payment deadlines or enroll in a payment plan to avoid being dropped
from classes.
