Western Nevada College alumna Krysta Palmer continued her excellence on the world diving stage.

The 2014 WNC graduate placed fourth at the World Aquatics Championships on Feb. 7 in Qatar. Palmer paired with Alison Gibson in the women's 3-meter synchronized diving event, securing a spot in this event for the U.S. in the Paris Olympic Games this summer. No matter how U.S. divers performed in Qatar, they still are required to go through the Olympic Trials in June.

Palmer and Gibson totaled 279.30 points in their dives, drawing the most attention with their front 21/2 with two twists since they were the only team to perform this dive.

At the Olympic Games nearly four years ago, Palmer stunningly won a bronze medal in the 3-meter springboard event.
