Celebrate Veterans Day before the actual holiday with a barbecue hosted by Western Nevada College’s Wildcat Veterans Club from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, in front of the Dini Student Center.

"We are honored to celebrate our student veterans and the veterans in our community with this BBQ,” WNC President Dr. Dalpe said. “They have sacrificed so much for us that it's important to have this opportunity to recognize them the day before Veterans Day.”

Meet members of the student veterans club and other veterans from the community.

"WNC's Wildcat Veterans Club is sponsoring this BBQ to connect club members with other students across the campus and bring awareness to the resources available through WNC's Veterans Resource Center," said Veterans Resource Coordinator John Jacobson.

Games and door prizes are also planned.
