WNC Foundation Invites Community to Make A Lasting Difference at the Reach for the Stars Gala
Jul 10, 2026

Guests at the ninth annual Reach for the Stars Gala will enjoy an exceptional dining experience, captivating entertainment, and both live and silent auctions while helping raise critical funds that support academic programs, scholarships and educational opportunities for WNC students.
The countdown is on for one of Western Nevada College Foundation’s most anticipated events of the year.
The ninth annual Reach for the Stars Gala: Moonlight Masquerade returns on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 6 p.m. in the Joe Dini Library on Western Nevada College's Carson City campus, bringing together community leaders, alumni, businesses and supporters for an elegant evening dedicated to changing students’ lives.
As WNC Foundation's largest annual fundraiser, the Reach for the Stars Gala generates critical support for scholarships, student success programs and educational initiatives that help remove financial barriers and create opportunities for current and future Wildcats.
Guests will enjoy an elegant black-tie evening featuring fine dining, live entertainment, live and silent auctions, and the enchanting atmosphere of this year’s Moonlight Masquerade theme. More importantly, every dollar raised helps students pursue degrees, workforce training and careers that strengthen communities throughout Western Nevada.
“This evening is about much more than an elegant celebration,” said Western Nevada College President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe. “Every scholarship awarded, every student program supported and every life changed through the generosity of our community represents an investment in the future of Nevada. Reach for the Stars reminds us that when we come together with a shared purpose, we open doors of opportunity that extend far beyond our campus and into the communities our graduates will serve.”
The evening will also feature this year's Guiding Star Student Speaker, nursing graduate Cheyenne Clayson, whose educational journey was made possible in part through donor-supported assistance. Her story of perseverance and determination reflects the life-changing impact that WNC Foundation supporters make every year.
“Our donors don't simply fund scholarships, they invest in people, dreams and futures,” said WNC Chief Advancement Officer and Foundation Executive Director Niki Gladys. “Every guest who attends the gala becomes part of a student's success story. Whether it’s helping someone afford textbooks, complete a nursing program, earn a workforce credential or become the first in their family to graduate from college, the generosity of this community creates opportunities that last a lifetime. We look forward to celebrating that impact together on Aug. 8.”
Individual tickets are $200, couple’s packages are $380, and reserved tables for eight are $1,500. Sponsorship opportunities beginning at $2,500 remain available for businesses and organizations wishing to support student success while receiving recognition during the event.
With seating limited and another sellout anticipated, community members are encouraged to reserve their place soon.
To purchase tickets, become a sponsor or learn more, visit wnc.edu/reach or call the Western Nevada College Foundation at 775-445-3240.
Every seat filled, every auction bid placed and every donation made helps ensure that Western Nevada College students have the resources they need to succeed today and the opportunity to build brighter futures tomorrow.
