Capital City Arts Initiative Presenting Art by WNC Students at the Brick

Enjoy 57 works of art by 25 Western Nevada College students in the “Fresh Outlook 2023” exhibit now showing at the Brick.

Capital City Arts Initiative is presenting the exhibit through Aug. 17 in the Community Development Building (better known as the Brick). The exhibit is free to the public with viewing from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Participating students (including a faculty member) are Callie Carlin, Nancy Lee Clark, Shiloh Cyphers, Michel Galgiani, Randall George, Ibis W.K. Hood, Hailey Jeffries, Stanley Juchtzer, Meg Klasko, Karyn Knecht, Winnie Kortemeier, John P. Lagios, Margit, Fraser Mason, Tess Nelson, Kaylee Nielsen, Marietta Sophie Paul, Emma Pitman, Andrea Sanchez De Loza, Johnny Sayegh, Christian Service, Jess Sollini, Jessica Visnovits, Keana Wong and Maria Woods.

The exhibit includes drawings, paintings, photography, printmaking, ceramics and more.

“CCAI is delighted to present these strong art works to the community,” said CCAI Executive Director Sharon Rosse. “It is great to work with WNC faculty and students to present this excellent exhibition and is grateful for their support. ‘Fresh Outlook 2023’ demonstrates the depth and diversity of the artists’ creativity.”

The Brick is located at 108 E Proctor St. in Carson City.
