The Western Nevada College community is well-aware of the many biking and hiking trails adjacent and behind the Carson City campus.

The Nevada Interscholastic Cycling Association utilized this network of challenging trails for its season-ending Carson City Crusher event on Oct. 20 and 21.

More than 300 mountain bike riders from middle schools and high schools competed in the event, which was presented by Visit Carson City.

“The event had a great turnout. I would estimate over 1,000 people were in attendance and every hotel room in Carson was sold out!” said WNC Interim Director of Facilities, Planning and Construction Jeffrey Erickson. “Special thanks to our great WNC team for helping make this event happen!”
