There wasn't any barrel rolling, pretzel tossing or a polka dance-off, but the Sierra Alphorn Players, root beer floats and pretzels made ASWN's Oktoberfest unique and special on Sept. 27 in Dini Student Center.

Outside of seeing the alphorn on Ricola TV commercials, the Sierra Alphorn Players' performance outside the Student Center provided many attendees with an up-close introduction to the quirky musical instrument. No one made any jokes about the group being long-winded, but they sure captivated those in attendance — many of whom wanted their pictures taken with the performers.

Festivities also included butter making, flower pressing, leaf art, root beer floats and pretzels.
