A day of friendly competition and community spirit translated into meaningful support for students as a recent clay shoot fundraiser raised $30,000 for the Western Nevada College Foundation.

Hosted by Metcalf Builders, the annual event brought together shooting sports enthusiasts, community leaders and supporters from across Northern Nevada for a memorable day on the range.

The fundraiser attracted a strong showing of community partners, including Bryce Clutts, Ron Lacy and Jennifer Eaton, as well as Western Nevada College representatives Niki Gladys, Nigel Harrison and several WNC students.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Western Nevada College Foundation, helping to expand access to educational opportunities and provide critical support for student success.

“The generosity of our community continues to make a lasting impact on our students,” said Gladys, WNC's Chief Advancement Officer and WNC Foundation Executive Director. “Events like this not only bring people together, but also help ensure that more students have the resources they need to achieve their educational goals.”

The clay shoot is one of many community-driven efforts that support Western Nevada College students, reinforcing the strong partnership between the college and the Northern Nevada community.
