CARSON CITY — July 26, 2023 — For the second year in a row, Western Nevada College Foundation is proud to announce that the Wells Fargo Foundation has been named the presenting sponsor for the Reach for the Stars Gala.

“Wells Fargo recognizes that a well-educated population can lead to greater economic stability. As ‘The Bank of Doing’, we support events, such as Reach for the Stars in Northern Nevada, because these proceeds support students in their pursuit of personal and professional success,” said Wells Fargo Nevada Senior Social Impact & Sustainability Specialist Wendell Blaylock.

Additionally, Wells Fargo Senior Premier Banker Amanda Jacobson has been named the chair of the Reach for the Stars Gala this year.

“Amanda is a significant contributor to the WNC Foundation Board and as Chair of this event. She operates with the highest integrity on behalf of WNC students, the Board and donors ensuring the organization’s long-term success, said Executive Director of Advancement," Niki Gladys. “We are grateful to Wells Fargo for their donation to make higher education possible for more students and help them in becoming financially independent. Wells Fargo continues to invest in its community, and we are very pleased that its generosity will empower others to make better financial choices and build more stable financial futures.”
