Who says you can’t get something for free nowadays?

On Friday, Nov. 17, Western Nevada College’s Workforce, Career and Technical Education department presented a free Roadside and Preventative Auto Maintenance Workshop at the E.L. Cord Automotive Technology Center at 2201 W. College Parkway.

The one-night workshop provided attendees with demonstrations and hands-on learning. It gave teens, individuals and families the know-how to successfully perform an oil change on their own vehicles.

"Our role is to educate the community and this free workshop is an excellent way for people to learn more about their vehicles and perform services to save money,” said WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe. “Participants will also learn about our auto mechanics program and its advanced technology."

The workshop was instructed by Sunshine Haupt and Alex Street. To register for the workshop, visit https://forms.gle/HKW3RSm37xcWugMQ9. Learn more about the workshop and WNC's Auto Technology program by phoning 775-445-4419.
