The Veterans Resource Center presented the Veterans Suicide Prevention & Awareness March from Bully's to the college and back on May 6, drawing attention to the alarming number of veteran suicides in Nevada and the United States.

Speakers delivered critical information about this issue when the marchers reached the college, including available services. Speakers included Aimee Green, Suicide Prevention program manager for Nevada Department of Veterans Services; Dr. Spring Myers, community engagement and partnerships coordinator for Veteran Affairs Reno; and Suicide Prevention Network Director Debbie Posnien and Programs Coordinator Amy Roby.
