Veterans Day came early to the Western Nevada College campus on Nov. 9 (two days early to be exact).

In honor of veterans on campus and across the community, WNC's Wildcat Veterans Club hosted a BBQ lunch. Attendees enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs, raffle prizes, games, and conversation.

In fact, WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe served hamburgers and hot dogs to many of the folks in attendance.

"We are honored to celebrate our student veterans and the veterans in our community with this BBQ,” WNC President Dr. Dalpe said. “They have sacrificed so much for us that it's important to have this opportunity to recognize them the day before Veterans Day.”

Veterans Resource Center ((VRC) Coordinator John Jacobson and the Wildcat Veterans Club arranged the barbecue as a way for the club to connect with more veterans across the campus and bring additional awareness of the resources available in the VRC.
