Western Nevada College is proud to announce that President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe has been elected to the Board of Trustees for PBS Reno (KNPB Channel 5).

PBS Reno serves northern and central Nevada and northeastern California with trusted programming that educates, informs, and inspires. The station’s Board of Trustees is composed of regional leaders who guide its strategic direction and community engagement.

“Dr. Dalpe brings deep experience in education and a strong commitment to community service,” said Kurt Mische, President and CEO of PBS Reno. “We’re honored to have him join the board, and we look forward to his contributions as we continue to serve our region.”

Dr. Dalpe, who has led Western Nevada College since 2022 and worked in higher education for nearly 30 years, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity:

“Public broadcasting has long played a vital role in education and lifelong learning,” said Dr. Dalpe. “I’m excited to support PBS Reno’s mission and ensure its impact continues to grow across our region.”

Under Dr. Dalpe’s leadership, WNC has increased enrollment, launched a new career center and enhanced workforce development programs.
