Western Nevada College President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe had the honor of joining regional and international leaders on Friday at a special luncheon focused on building global connections.

Hosted by Assembly Speaker Steve Yeager and Assemblymember PK O’Neill in partnership with the Carson City Chamber of Commerce, the gathering welcomed Republic of Ireland Senator Mark Daly — Majority Leader and the highest-ranking member of the Irish Senate.

Discussions centered on how global partnerships between Ireland, the U.S. and Nevada can create shared opportunities in education, workforce development and economic growth.

President Dalpe said it was also great to catch up with O'Neill and Yeager.

WNC Chief HR Officer & Chief of Staff Melody Duley and Assistant to the President Tracy Mendibles also attended this meaningful conversation on international collaboration.
