The Western Nevada College Foundation will tee up student success this fall with its 27th Annual Golf for Education Tournament, set for Friday, Sept. 25, at Toiyabe Golf Club.

The annual tournament brings together community members, businesses and supporters of Western Nevada College for a day of golf while raising critical funds to help students prepare for meaningful careers.

Proceeds from the event support workforce development and students facing financial barriers to completing career-focused education and earning industry-recognized certifications. These credentials can provide students with the skills they need to enter Nevada’s growing workforce and pursue family sustaining employment.

“Investing in workforce education is an investment in the future of our students, our businesses and our communities,” said WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe. “The Golf for Education Tournament gives our community an opportunity to enjoy a great day together while making a lasting difference for students who are working toward better careers and brighter futures. We’re grateful to everyone who continues to support this important event.”

The tournament reflects the WNC Foundation’s commitment to connecting students with the education, training and resources they need to succeed while helping meet the workforce needs of Northern Nevada.
