Nevada Day Parade Set for Oct. 29

Sep 12, 2022

The day you have all been waiting for is less than a month away: the annual Nevada Day Parade.

WNC has decided to again participate in this treasured event on Saturday, Oct. 29 in downtown Carson City, showcasing the college with a decorated trailer that will include college representatives on board, the WNC ambulance, as well as the striking Mobile Manufacturing Lab and a throng of enthusiastic walkers.

This years parade theme is Carnival on the Comstock. The days events will also include rock drilling, a beard contest and much more!

If you are interested in volunteering for the parade and would like to walk with WNC, contact Tracy Mendibles at tracy.mendibles@wnc.edu.

The parade starts at 10 a.m., proceeding from north to south along Carson Street. It officially begins at the intersection of William and North Carson streets and ends at the intersection of Stewart and South Carson streets.
