In the past month, it has become easier for visitors to Western Nevada Colleges Carson City campus to find the college.
WNC has placed new directional signs in streets surrounding the college to better serve people coming to the college for the first time.
The news signs are on Winnie Lane, West College Parkway, Combs Canyon and North Ormsby Boulevard.
Thanks to Jeff (Erickson) in facilities for this start to rebranding the campus. More to come to help people get where they are going and increase visibility overall, said WNC Interim President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe.
Erickson said that the new signage is only the first step in helping the college become more visible.
I am working on a long-range campus signage and wayfinding initiative, he said. The first phase is street signage leading people to campus with new signs located on College Parkway, Winnie Lane, Combs Canyon, and Ormsby. I am looking forward to working with the city in order to install updated signage on Carson Street at College Parkway. Future signage is also planned to upgrade the Fallon and Douglas WNC Campus locations.
