Jul 29, 2026

Metcalf Builders is one of the principal sponsors for WNC Foundation's Reach for the Stars Gala on Aug. 8.
Building strong communities begins with creating opportunities, and Metcalf Builders continues to help lay that foundation for Western Nevada College students.
As a significant sponsor of the Western Nevada College Foundation’s ninth annual Reach for the Stars Gala: Moonlight Masquerade, Metcalf Builders is reinforcing its longstanding commitment to higher education, workforce development and preparing students for meaningful careers across Northern Nevada.
“Metcalf Builders has been an outstanding partner in helping Western Nevada College create opportunities that extend far beyond our campus,” said WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe. “Their investment in our students through the Reach for the Stars Gala, our academic programs and campus projects demonstrates a deep commitment to education and the future of Northern Nevada. Partnerships like this help us prepare a highly skilled workforce while ensuring students have the resources and support they need to achieve their goals. We are grateful for Metcalf Builders’ continued leadership and belief in the transformative power of education.”
Set for Aug. 8 at the Joe Dini Library, the gala supports scholarships, academic programs and student opportunities that help learners turn ambition into achievement.
For Metcalf Builders, supporting WNC reflects a shared belief that investing in students today strengthens the workforce and communities of tomorrow.
“This college is developing a pool of well-trained talent who are ready to meet the demands of the ever-growing job market in Northern Nevada,” said Bryce Clutts, President and CEO of Metcalf Builders. “We believe in WNC’s mission and are proud to support students as they gain the education, skills and experiences that lead to successful careers.”
Metcalf’s partnership with Western Nevada College extends well beyond event sponsorship. The company’s support can be seen across campus through initiatives that enrich student learning and strengthen educational experiences, from supporting the Construction Management program to helping make projects such as the Jack C. Davis Observatory possible.
Founded in 1994, Metcalf Builders has maintained a strong connection to Northern Nevada through its commitment to building not only structures, but also opportunity. Under Clutts’ leadership, the company continues to champion programs and partnerships that help students thrive and contribute to the region’s future.
“Metcalf Builders understands that supporting students is one of the most meaningful investments a community can make,” said Niki Gladys, Chief Advancement Officer at WNC and Executive Director of the WNC Foundation. “Their continued partnership helps create pathways that allow students to pursue their goals, strengthen our workforce and make a lasting impact throughout Northern Nevada.”
Now entering its ninth year, Reach for the Stars has become a signature celebration of educational opportunity and community support. Guests attending this year’s Moonlight Masquerade will enjoy an evening of elegance and purpose while helping create brighter futures for WNC students.
