WNC Foundation’s 25th Golf for Education Tournament Nearing Capacity

Sep 10, 2024

While helping themselves to a fall round of golf and an early weekend, participants in Western Nevada College Foundation’s Golf for Education tournament are providing pivotal funding for students to train to become part of Northern Nevada’s workforce.

WNC Foundation is presenting its 25th Golf for Education tournament fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 27, at picturesque Toiyabe Golf Club in Washoe Valley. The popular scramble tournament is filling up fast, so register today.

Participants can look forward to exciting contests, premium perks, a BBQ lunch and a lively post-tournament reception.

“I am excited for our annual golf tournament to support students and am sure it will be above par for the course in our 25th year,” WNC President Dr. J. Kyle Dalpe said.

It’s also an opportunity to network with community leaders, enjoy delicious food and drinks, and compete for amazing prizes — all while supporting workforce development in our region. Don’t miss this unforgettable event that promises fun, fellowship, and the chance to make a real difference.

"We are excited to, once again, host this exciting event while raising important funding for our students,” said WNC Foundation Executive Director Niki Gladys. “This tournament is a great opportunity for members of the community to help students with financial need acquire the certifications essential for meaningful employment to support Nevada's expanding economy."
