Step back in time and immerse yourself in the glitz and glamour of the Roaring '20s at the highly anticipated Reach for the Stars Gala, hosted by the Western Nevada College Foundation! On the evening of August 12th, the Joe Dini Library will be transformed into a dazzling venue where you can make a difference while having the time of your life.

Prepare to be swept off your feet as you step into a world of elegance, where the spirit of the 1920s comes alive in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Jack C. Davis Observatory. Mingle with fellow community members dressed to the nines in flapper dresses, pinstripes, feathers and pearls. 

Enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a catered dinner by Chef John Hurzel, gifts, live and silent auctions and dancing to the music provided by local DJ Steve Nichols. 

But the excitement doesn't stop there! The gala will also feature the brilliant Dr. Thomas Herring, Director of the Jack C. Davis Observatory, who will guide you on an awe-inspiring journey through the cosmos. With state-of-the-art telescopes at your disposal, you will learn about the upcoming Perseid Meteor Shower and celebrate the beautiful August night sky.
