Join us for an enlightening lecture with Dr. Winnie Kortemeier, Professor of Geosciences at Western Nevada College, as she reveals groundbreaking
research on Lake Tahoe. Dr. Kortemeier’s work has determined that Lake Tahoe is a
staggering 2.3 million years old, making it North America’s oldest freshwater, permanent lake and the third-oldest in the world! The lecture will be held in the Aspen building, second floor. RSVP is encouraged
