About WNC’s College & Career Readiness Division
College & Career Readiness empowers individuals to strengthen essential academic and workforce skills that open doors to education, training, and employment. For many students, improving literacy is just the first step toward success. Our team helps students explore career pathways, access postsecondary opportunities, and prepare for high-demand jobs that offer growth and family-sustaining wages.
We also partner with employers to identify skill gaps, develop customized training solutions, and connect them with qualified candidates who are ready to contribute to Nevada’s workforce. By aligning education with industry needs, we help strengthen both individual futures and our local economy.
Together, we help students build skills for life and employers find the talent they need.
Important Update: Due to changes in federal funding, Western Nevada College is currently unable to offer Adult Education classes, including High School Equivalency preparation and English Language Learning instruction.
Despite this pause, WNC’s College & Career Readiness program remains committed to helping individuals gain a competitive edge through academic, technical, and professional skill development. Our focus is on connecting students with college and career transition opportunities, workforce training, and resources that prepare them for high-demand occupations offering strong career pathways and family-sustaining wages.
