Statement: | A student (or former student) who has an unpaid balance at the end of the semester's sixth week has a delinquent account and will automatically be placed on financial hold by WNC and be sent to collections. This account may then be turned over to a collection agency at a date to be determined by the Controller. Effected accounts will be notified prior to collections placement. |
Section 1: Procedure
- A collection fee based on the delinquent balance will be charged against the total amount owed.
- Students on financial hold may not receive a transcript, register for classes or be awarded a certificate or a diploma until the delinquent account has been cleared and the financial hold removed.
- Delinquent accounts may be sent to collection after 90 days.
- The student will also be responsible for collection and legal fees.
