Statement: Cell phones will be governed by the usage rules as listed.

Section 1: Usage Rules


  1. The vendor used for cell phone billing must be able to provide incoming and outgoing call numbers and duration.
  2. While we do not encourage personal calls, essential calls of minimal duration will be allowed on a limited basis. Employees issued a college provided cell phone should use it responsibly for work-related purposes.
  3. All cell phones will be pre-approved by the Division Director or Vice President.
  4. The college and/or employee's supervisor, director, HR director, VP or President reserves the right to audit cell phone usage at any time.
  5. Anyone in violation of this policy will lose his or her cell phone and disciplinary action may be taken where appropriate.
  6. All office lines will be paid through the College telephone budget account. Cell phones will be paid by the department using the device.
  7. College cell phones will be reviewed annually.
