Statement: A common course numbering system for all institutions shall be maintained.

Section 1: Course Numbering System

  1. WNC follows the Nevada System of Higher Education system-wide course numbering system as follows:
    Remedial/developmental courses 001-099
    Lower-division courses 100-299
    Upper-division courses 300-499

     

  2. To assist students identifying WNC course and their applicability toward specific degrees and transferability within NSHE, non-transferable courses are identified with course attributes/descriptions that inform students the course may not transfer towards an NSHE bachelors degree and that it is non-applicable towards AA, AB or AS degrees.
