Western Nevada College is excited to host the Board of Regents, Council of Presidents and other leadership from the Nevada System of Higher Education on the Carson campus on Wednesday through Friday, Sept. 4-6.

The NSHE Board of Regents will hold its quarterly meeting at WNC for the first time in 10 years on Thursday and Friday. There will also be a Council of Presidents meeting at WNC on Wednesday.

Consequently, parking will be affected in certain areas for all three days. The campus will need to accommodate reserved parking for regents, presidents,board staff and leadership from NSHEs various institutions. The Board of Regents meetings are also open to the public.

Parking attendants will be on campus to ask drivers where they are headed and direct them to available parking locations. Drivers are asked to be patient.
The schedule on campus and locations for parking restrictions follow:

Parking

We hope you experience little, if any, inconvenience as you come to campus. We recommend arriving a few minutes earlier than usual in case you need a little extra time to find a parking spot. The lower lots will be available for faculty, staff, students and community members.

On Wednesday, Sept. 4, parking around the Child Development Center will be blocked off. Starting at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 5 and continuing through Friday, Sept. 6, all areas around the Child Development Center, and the Reynolds and Aspen buildings will be reserved for all regents, presidents and other NSHE officials. 8 am: Board of Regents meeting commences
8-9 am: Security Committee
9-11 am: Business, Finance and Facilities Committee
11 am-noon (time approximate): Health Sciences System Committee

Marlette Hall

9-11 am: Academic, Research & Student Affairs Committee
11 am-noon (time approximate): Audit, Compliance and Title IX Committee

Library

5-6:30 p.m.: Reception

Friday, Sept. 6

8-9 am: Community College Committee
9 am: Board of Regents meeting reconvenes
