WNCs New Online Bookstore Sets Textbook Pickup Dates
Jul 15, 2021
WNC has enlisted in a contemporary bookstore Textbook Brokers to serve its students needs moving forward. Textbook Brokers offers students a full-service online bookstore to purchase textbooks, eBooks, digitally delivered coursework and fully emblematic WNC merchandise.
The WNCbookstore.com website became live on July 1, providing students with sufficient time to decide on their classes and which books theyll need for fall semester. Textbook Brokers made all fall 2021 semester textbooks available for purchase starting Aug. 1, giving students the option to have them delivered to the Carson City campus or have them shipped to their own mailing address. Students can begin picking up their textbooks on campus on Aug. 25. See Textbook Brokers pop-up store hours below.
In an effort to bring students back to the WNC bookstore, Textbook Brokers will be offering market competitive pricing, meaning students wont need to shop on Amazon, said Mark Mazurowski, Nevada regional manager for Textbook Brokers.
Ordering kiosks and book drop boxes have already been installed on the Carson City and Fallon campuses. Students can find them in Student Services on the Carson City campus and in Getto Hall on the Fallon campus. There is also a book return box in Student Center across from the Game Room in the Dini Building.
Even though there wont be an actual bookstore on campus as in the past, Textbook Brokers will provide a popup store on WNCs Carson City campus the week before classes begin through Sept. 2 in Joe Dini Buildings Student Center Game Room. Students ordering textbooks after Aug. 18 will need to have them shipped to their mailing address. Fallon campus students will have their textbooks shipped to them. Textbook pickup times are as follows:
Wednesday, Aug. 25, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday, Aug. 26, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Friday, Aug. 27, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 30, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug. 31, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Wed, Sept. 1, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 2, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
To place an order, students will just need to visit wncbookstore.com which is iPhone and Android friendly and enter their student ID. At which point their course materials will automatically add to their cart, Mazurowski said. Next, theyll click checkout and select to have their books delivered to their home address or to their respective campus for pickup.
