Neels Wild Kingdom on Display at Virgil Getto Hall

Jan 21, 2021

Larry Neels wildlife of Africa exhibit is on display through February in Virgil Getto Hall at WNC.

Photographer Larry Neel is sharing the fulfillment of a lifelong dream in Virgil Getto Hall on Western Nevada Colleges Fallon campus this winter.
Since his childhood, Neel dreamed of visiting Africa so he could see the unusual wildlife of the continent with his own eyes. This dream was created when a young Neel opened a Sugar Daddy and found a wildlife trading card inside.
In the past decade, he has been to Africa twice, giving him the long-awaited opportunity to photograph wildebeests, elephants, lions, giraffes, cheetahs and leopards.
His Wild Kingdom of photography will be on display at Virgil Getto Hall through February. The public can view the exhibit Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and visitors are reminded to follow COVID protocols of wearing a face covering and staying 6 feet away from others.
